The heart of the powertrain of the 296 Speciale is the evolution of the V6 Ferrari found in the 296 GTB and 296 GTS. The six-cylinder engine is coupled with a plug-in electric motor installed between the internal combustion engine and the 8-speed DCT gearbox. A clutch separates the two motors to ensure operation in full-electric mode. The high-voltage battery and inverter complete the assembly. With the addition of an extra boost to the electric car, the power output now reaches the exceptional value of 880 hp, an increase of 50 hp compared to the 296 GTB.

The New Range Rover Sport has made its global premiere with a dramatic world-first climb up a flooded dam spillway in Iceland. The epic ascent saw New Range Rover Sport resist the surging torrent of water flowing down the ramp of the Karahnjukar Dam – the biggest of its kind in the world – at a rate of 750 tonnes per minute. A loss of traction risked plunging down the perilous 90m drop at the base of the spillway to the valley floor below. The successful spillway ascent was screened for the first time at an exclusive launch event at Jaguar Land Rover’s Advanced Product Creation Centre at Gaydon, UK. Official James Bond stunt driver Jessica Hawkins was behind the wheel as the New Range Rover Sport demonstrated its grip, traction, performance and composure, completing the latest in a series of challenges for Land Rover’s luxury performance SUV. Previous feats include a record-setting hill-climb at Pikes Peak, a first recorded crossing of the ‘Empty Quarter’ desert in the Arabian Peninsula and a first ascent of the 999 steps to Heaven’s Gate in China, in 2018.
Dacia is Europe's undisputed market leader in LPG vehicles and the only manufacturer to offer flex-fuel gasoline/LPG powertrains under the Eco-G label for all its combustion engine models. Dacia's Eco-G powertrains are designed for comfort, simplicity, and versatility in everyday use and reduce emissions in LPG mode by around 10 percent compared to a gasoline engine of the same power output. The new Sandero and Sandero Stepway Eco-G 120 now feature a new, more powerful 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo flex-fuel engine with 120 hp (up from 100 hp previously), combining all the benefits of LPG with those of an automatic transmission for the first time. The smooth, responsive 6-speed dual-clutch transmission is available on all models as an alternative to the 6-speed manual transmission. To ensure customers can continue to enjoy the benefits of LPG for even longer, Dacia has increased the capacity of its LPG tanks: 49.6 liters instead of 40 liters for the Sandero and Sandero Stepway. This increases the range in LPG mode by 20 percent. The total range (LPG + gasoline) is 1,590 kilometers for the Sandero and 1,480 kilometers for the Stepway.
