German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) paid tribute to Ukraine and its President Volodymyr Selenskyj at the award ceremony of the Charlemagne Prize in Aachen for their persistent resistance against Russian troops. "With the utmost bravery you defend your country against Russia's brutal aggression," Scholz said in his laudation.
