Ex-chief of France's secret service at court for extorsion trial
The former director general of French intelligence services, Bernard Bajolet, arrives at the Bobigny court on the first day of his trial. The head of the Directorate-General for External Security (DGSE) between April 2013 and May 2017, he is accused of being complicit in an attempted extortion against Alain Duménil, a businessman who has been in dispute with the DGSE for years, and who was also present at the opening of the hearing.
