High-speed sci-fi drone can land on vehicles moving at 70 mph
Researchers in Canada recently unveiled a high-speed drone that can land on moving vehicles traveling up to 70 mph. Developed by the Createk Research Lab at the University of Sherbrooke, the DART uses a 'dive and clamp' approach with shock absorbers and reverse thrust to make safe touchdowns even in strong winds. The breakthrough has greatly expanded the real-world applications of drone technology.
