Today is World Food Day, also known as International Food Day. Every year on 16 October, this day is intended to draw attention to the fact that millions of people around the world still suffer from hunger. This day is also the Day of Bread. In the past, bread was synonymous with food. World Food Day has been celebrated since 1979.
