Mourners gather as the coffin of Hashem Safieddine, a senior Hezbollah figure, arrives in his southern Lebanese hometown of Deir Qanun al-Nahr, where he will be laid to rest. Safieddine was chosen to succeed slain Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah after the September 27 strike on Beirut's southern suburbs, but was himself killed in an Israeli strike around a week later.
