Alarm in German animal shelters: "Animals are not a commodity"

The German Animal Welfare Association is sounding the alarm: Since the end of the Corona pandemic, animal shelters in many places in Germany have been overcrowded. The Animal Welfare Association for Berlin, which operates Europe's largest animal shelter in the capital, also sees politics as having a duty.
