Additional US tariffs on EU and China come into effect

As announced by the government in Washington, additional US tariffs against trading partners such as the EU and China have come into effect on Wednesday. China is hit the hardest: there is a 104 percent surcharge on imports from there since 06:01. The EU faces tariffs of 20 percent.
