The A6 e-tron model family, like the Q6 e-tron series also built on the PPE, represents Audi's commitment to act sustainably - from production to the finished product. Audi is gradually converting all production sites for the production of purely electric models instead of building new ones. By making an early decision to phase out combustion engines, Audi has also intensively promoted the transformation of its employees and qualified the workforce for future fields, such as the new battery assembly in Ingolstadt. The Four Rings thus increase the manufacturing depth and bring important expertise directly to the site. At the same time, Audi creates new job opportunities. To produce the A6 e-tron series sustainably and efficiently, Audi consistently utilizes existing structures and facilities. The Four Rings seamlessly integrate the series into existing assembly lines, such as the body shop for the PPE. On an area of around 148,000 square meters, the body shells for the PPE models are produced at the Ingolstadt plant. 328 employees per shift and 1,150 robots manufacture the body components for the A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron series at an automation level of 87 percent.
