With its excellent handling characteristics, high driving comfort, and outstanding braking performance, the Toyota C-HR Plug-in Hybrid provides a powerful and exhilarating driving experience. The heart of all new Toyota C-HR equipment lines is the fifth-generation Toyota hybrid technology. It offers exceptional balance between performance, driving pleasure, and low emissions in this class. As a plug-in hybrid, the new Toyota C-HR combines the best of several worlds. With a pure electric range of up to 67 kilometers (WLTP combined), it exceeds the average daily range of a typical European customer - and switches to hybrid mode automatically when the battery is depleted for longer journeys. The total range is then up to 900 kilometers. The plug-in hybrid system includes a 120 kW/163 hp electric motor on the front axle powered by a powerful 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 112 kW/152 hp. This results in a total system output of 164 kW/223 hp, allowing the plug-in hybrid to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds.
