If you think any back seat is safe, think again. The middle seat is the one that offers the highest chances of survival in accidents. Those who believe that the choice of seat in the car doesn't matter are mistaken. The middle, rear seat offers the best chances of survival in accidents. Studies show that individuals in this seat have about 46% higher chances of surviving fatal collisions. Even when comparing only the back seats, the probability is still 13% higher. But why is the middle seat safer? Everything is related to the vehicle design and the programmed crumple zones. These areas absorb the impact and protect the person in the middle. In frontal, rear, or side collisions, there are consistently fewer severe injuries in this seat. However, it's not enough to just sit there - the seat belt is essential. Current research shows that passengers without a seat belt on the back seat have a significantly higher risk of serious injuries and hospital stays. The likelihood of not wearing a seat belt in the back seat is even up to five times higher. There is no 'perfectly safe' seat - only safe behaviors. Every ride requires attention, consistency, and respect for safety rules. Choosing the right seat and fastening the seat belt significantly increases your chances of surviving an accident unharmed.
For centuries, Afghanistan's rugged northern steppes have been the backdrop for the enduring national equestrian tradition known as buzkashi. This game, deeply ingrained in Afghan culture, has transformed over time from a rustic pastime into a highly lucrative and professionalized spectacle, reflecting both the essence of Afghan identity and the realities of modern economics.
It's my turn! There were hilarious scenes as a pride of kenyan lions hustled to use a tree as a play park. Cubs and sub adults jostled to claw their way up the trunk and one large female had a precarious time negotiating the upper branches. The charming incident was captured Jan 2021 by Paul Goldstein, a British Wildlife Photographer and guide.
