Ferrari presented today to the international press and clientele the 849 Testarossa Spider, the latest model from Maranello. The vehicle, which replaces the SF90 Spider in the lineup, is a super sports hybrid plug-in spider equipped with three electric motors assisting the V8 biturbo engine capable of delivering a total of 1050 hp, 50 more than the vehicle it replaces in the Cavallino Rampante lineup. The vehicle is both a true coupe and a true spider thanks to Ferrari's retractable hardtop (RHT), which allows the driver to open and close the roof in just 14 seconds, even while driving up to 45 km/h. In this way, all the outstanding performance of the vehicle can be enjoyed in all conditions and even en plein air, for a greater connection with the surrounding environment and even more vibrant driving emotions. To maximize comfort, a new system has been developed to minimize turbulence inside the vehicle, namely an innovative wind stop positioned behind the seats. The 849 Testarossa Spider is at the top of the Ferrari range thanks to its performance, the engagement it provides to the driver without ever compromising driving comfort or interior refinement, as well as its futuristic design deeply linked to the brand's history. It is a vehicle designed for the most demanding customers, those who want the maximum from a Ferrari. And it is also the reason behind the return of a legendary name to Maranello's history; this name was first used in 1956 on the 500 TR and was intended to describe the color of the cylinder heads of some of the most extreme and iconic racing engines, before being used on one of Ferrari's most beloved road models of all time – the legendary Testarossa of 1984.
