To transform the Škoda Superb Combi into a pick-up with a spacious passenger cabin and a functional, extendable loading area, the apprentices made numerous changes to the bodywork. They cut off the combi roof behind the C-pillars, reinforced the body parts of the remaining passenger cabin, adapted the B and C-pillars, and shortened the roof rails. In addition, the students developed a new rear cabin wall including a rear window, which is positioned behind the second row of seats. The right rear door is equipped with a completely new lift-slide mechanism, which the trainees designed in close cooperation with experts from the company's development department. Since the door does not swing outwards when opened, it can also be safely opened when professional cyclists are passing close to or overtaking the support vehicle.
