Agility, steering precision, and cornering dynamics of the new BMW 1 Series benefit from increased body structure rigidity and suspension connection. Its suspension technology evolution includes optimized kinematics, preloaded stabilizer mounts, and new shock absorber technology. The 20% increased front wheel trail ensures stable straight-line stability and optimized steering feedback. In addition to near-actuator wheel slip limitation, the new BMW 1 Series also features an integrated braking system and 17-inch alloy wheels (BMW M135 xDrive: 18 inches) as standard equipment. The optionally available M Sport package includes the Adaptive M Suspension with a vehicle lowering of up to 8 millimeters, sport steering, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, optional equipment includes up to 19-inch alloy wheels and an M Sport brake system.
