The new Volkswagen Polo - digitized interior

The entire dashboard of the Polo is characterized by a horizontal architecture. This architecture is largely determined by the modules that are used in the control panel: the now standard “Digital Cockpit” with an 8.0-inch screen and the new generation of infotainment systems. The Polo Style also has the “Digital Cockpit Pro” with a 10.25-inch cockpit on board as standard. The Polo driver can switch quickly and easily between the three basic layouts of the “Digital Cockpit” using the “View button” in the right-hand clasp of the new multifunction steering wheel. The displays of the digital instruments and the infotainment system form a unit on a high-level and therefore ergonomically optimal viewing axis. And there's more: all essential modules - except for the air conditioning - are integrated in the upper crossbar of the control panel. This crossbar continues into the front doors and is clad in different finishes depending on the equipment; three of them are new. The screen of the infotainment system is arranged in the middle of a high-gloss black island. The only additional button in this area is the hazard warning switch. To the left, the high-gloss black control island merges into the level of the instruments. In connection with the "Digital Cockpit" or "Digital Cockpit Pro" and the infotainment, a continuous digital cockpit landscape is created.
